I haven't updated in so long... i just went through and scanned everyone's sites to see what is new. Sounds like there's been some new adventures!
Many things have happened this year. I will point out the highlights.
I went to an MTW retreat in Atlanta in March. I was able to meet the Lungards, who will be going to Slovakia with MTW. They are a great couple... fun personalities and great thinkers. Kris wrote an amazing book, called "The enemy within".
My best friend (in my Profile pic) was married April 14. Very fun wedding! And Travis and Leslie are happily married. They live very close to me, so I am able to see them a lot!
Zion church, which is the church I attend, caught on fire 3 weeks ago and was completely demolished this last week. It is very sad that it came down, but God is making beauty of ashes. The church is not the building. It is the people! We are seeing God use this for good in our own church and community. We are now meeting at a church, which has extended it's arms to us during this time. We will be working out a plan to rebuild. Here are some pics... (If you want more info...you can check out our website www.zionpca.com).
Isaiah 61
1 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,
Because the LORD has anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to those who are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
3 To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.”
4 And they shall rebuild the old ruins,
They shall raise up the former desolations,
And they shall repair the ruined cities
